Azerbaijani officials arrested accused of corruption

Several officials have been arrested in Azerbaijan accused of corruption, Trend reports, referring to the Prosecutor General's Office.

According to the report, among those arrested are the chairman of the municipality, Shemakha Murvata Zeynalov, the head of the Shamakhi District Branch of the State Committee for Land and Cartography, Mehmana Efendiyev, and the Chief of the Surakhani District Branch of the State Fund for Social Protection, Safar Huseynov.
