Gaddafi’s aviation attacks rebels

The air forces of Muammar Gaddafi have attacked a military base taken over by the resistance in Adzhdabia in the east of Libya, Al Jazeera reports.


The air forces are only attacking the areas around the base. There are no injuries, RIA Novosti reports.


Al Arabia said on Friday that combat aircraft attacked oil facilities at the Marsa Brega Seaport, controlled by the resistance. There is no information on the injuries.


Gaddafi’s forces started attacking the eastern cities of Libya on Tuesday. The resistance in Marsa Brega is controlling oil facilities and an airport. The resistance in Adzhdabia is controlling a military base and an arms warehouse.


The disorders in Libya have been going since February 15. People are protesting against Gaddafi’s 42-year rule. International organizations say that law-enforcers and foreign mercenaries have killed up to 6,000 people.
