Georgian Interior Ministry to be equipped by the USA

US embassy officials will hand over equipment to the Georgian Interior
Ministry at an official ceremony in Tbilisi today, Georgia Times
reports.


The equipment is intended for the ministry's centres for
counter-terrorism, special operations, and border control, as well as
for it academy.


US ambassador to Georgia John Bass, Deputy Interior Minister Shalva
Djanashvili, head of border police Zaza Gogava, rector of the Academy
of the Interior Ministry Khatiya Dekanoidze and other officials will
be present at the ceremony.
