Chinese-Iranian cooperation does not violate the international law and is based on mutual benefit, spokesman of the Chinese Foreign Ministry Jiang Yu said, RIA Novosti reports.
The statement was a reply on Chinese technologies provided to Iranian. They may be used for the Tehran nuclear program.
The diplomat emphasized that China respects international obligations and controls export of military products.
USA and a set of other Western states accuse Iran of developing nuclear arms on the background of peaceful nuclear energy. Tehran denies the charges and insists that the program is aimed at fulfilling the demand for electricity. The UN Security Council passed the fourth resolution against Iran in June 2010.
