Saudi Arabia saw clashes between police and protesters on Thursday, and three people were injured, Reuters cites the Saudi Arabian police as saying.
The police deny opening fire at the protesters, RIA Novosti reports.
Two protesters and a police officer were injured. Saudi Arabian Interior Ministry announced a ban on protests due to events in other countries of the region.
The Middle East and North Africa are stricken by mass disorders that led to a change of power in Egypt and Tunisia. The disorders continue in Yemen, Oman and Bahrain. Anti-government protests were seen in Algiers, Iraq, Jordan and Morocco. The situation in Libya is especially complicated. The protests there started on February and has resulted in some 6,000 people deaths, according to international organizations.
