After completing his contacts in Athens, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu went to Western Thrace, where he met with representatives of the Turkish minority. In the village of Shaheen Xanthi Davutoglu was welcomed by 5,000 people.
When talking to the Turks of Western Thrace, Davutoglu said that, though being the residents of Greece, they should not forget theirTurkish identity and called them to assert their rights as EU citizens and to help to strengthen Turkish-Greek friendship, TRT reports.
