More than 200 policemen prosecuted in Kuban

More than 200 police officers in Krasnodar region incurred disciplinary punishment after inspection, portal YuGA.ru reports.

After the dismissal of Krasnodar region police chief Sergey Kucheruk in connection with the tragedy in Kushchevskaya, the General Prosecutor's Office conducted a check-up of compliance with the law in the work of investigational and operational units of the Main Department of Internal Affairs in the region, revealing numerous violations.

In particular, in 2009-2010, for the sake of statistical indicators about 3 thousand criminal acts were concealed and almost 1,5 thousand records were groundlessly exposed in order to artificially drive up data on the crimes being solved. In addition, the check-up has shown that Kuban authorities did not take due care to the disclosure of criminal offenses connected to the trade of drugs and weapons.
