52 residents of Kabardino-Balkaria wanted for terrorist activity

The police are searching for 52 residents of Kabardino-Balkaria for terrorist and extremist crimes, the head of the Investigation Department in Kabardino-Balkaria, Valery Ustov, told a press conference in Nalchik today. He said that 10 of these criminals are on the international wanted list, Interfax reports.

In addition, Ustov said that the republic has about 60 active members of terrorist bands. “They really are focused on specific tasks related to a single concept and direction. They are willing to kill and set off bombs", RIA Novosti quoted Ustov.

According to him, the terrorist organization in the republic is, in fact, a part of the so-called "Caucasus Emirate". The "Caucasus Emirate" is recognized by the Supreme Court of Russia as an international terrorist organization, leading an armed struggle against the Russian state in the North Caucasus.
