CEC sees improvement of electoral situation in Dagestan

The election situation in Dagestan has improved compared with previous election campaigns, RIA Novosti cites a member of the Russian Central Electoral Committee, Vasily Volkov.

He arrived in Dagestan for the local parliamentary polls.

Another CEC member, Siyabshakh Shapiyev, said that no elections are held without violations. Dagestan had the fewest violations compared with other Russian regions.

There were cases of repeated counting of votes. Yet, this demonstrates that territorial commissions are trying to avoid violations, Shapiyev said.

The official also touched upon the processing of protocols. He said that it concerns security.
