Kazakhstan to build nuclear power plant

Notwithstanding recent events in Japan, Kazakhstan should not withdraw from building a nuclear power plant, the vice-minister of industry and new technologies, Duisenbai Turganov, said Kazinform reports.

He stated that the programme of nuclear development of Kazakhstan was approved by the government and sent to the administration of the president for consideration. After the tragic events in Japan the key point is security.
