Kubanenergo is concluding the construction of the Sochi thermal power plant 110 KW power line for the Olympic infrastructure, RIA Novosti cites the company’s PR service.
The power line will supply the railway station, a city hospital, infrastructure facilities and residential areas of the Central District of the city.
The power line is 5 km long and runs through various terrains. Its altitude differences are 130 m. 39 poles were built and an Aero-Z wire was laid. The poles are 40 meters tall and built 10 meters deep. The zinc cover of the poles prevents them from affecting the environment. They can withstand heavy winds and seismological risks.
Aero-Z is a thinner type of wire with the same conduction. It allows the cutting of trees to be kept to a minimum.
