Russian police casualties in Caucasus halved

Casualties of the Russian Ministry of the Interior in the North Caucasus have dropped by 46% in the last 2 years. However, the situation in the region remains complicated, the commander of the ministry’s Interior Troops, Nikolai Rogozhkin, said in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta, RIA Novosti reports.

Rogozhkin said that such a reduction of casualties is due to rapid response groups and coherence between the FSB, Interior Troops and Special Forces.
