The OSCE Minsk Group has urged the sides in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict to use the positive impulse achieved at the trilateral summit of the presidents of Azerbaijan, Russia and Armenia in Sochi, the OSCE website says.
The co-chairs of the OSCE MG - Bernard Fassier (France), Robert Bradtke (USA) and Igor Popov (Russia) - had meetings in Baku, Yerevan and Nagorno-Karabakh on March 15-17. They met the ministers of foreign affairs of Azerbaijan and Armenia in Baku and Yerevan. They met the OSCE Chairman Audronius Azubalis in Yerevan.
They discussed measures to investigate violations of the ceasefire regime. The co-chairs emphasized that the latest events at the contact line show the need for a mechanism promoting fulfilment of the ceasefire.
They also noted their recent proposals to withdraw snipers and expressed regret that the initiatives were not taken to account.
