Abkhazia realizes a third of finances provided by Russia in 2010

Abkhazia has currently realized over a billion rubles out of 3 billion roubles provided by Russia in 2010, RIA Novosti cites the Minister of Economy of Abkhazia Kristina Ozgan as saying.


She clarified that 1.5 billion rubles were received in June-August and the rest in late December. Work worth 1.8 billion rubles was financed in 2010, or 60% of the set limit of 3 billion rubles. Some 1.2 billion rubles and an additional 3 billion in 2011 will make a sum of 4.2 billion.


Russian Minister of Regional Development Victor Basargin said that Russia plans to provide Abkhazia with a total of 11 billion rubles in 2010-2012.


Basargin’s deputy Roman Panov said that Abkhazia will receive its first 880 million rubles as planned in 2011.


Basargin expressed confidence that the support plan for Abkhazia will be successful.
