The European Parliament in Brussels held a conference entitled "Relations between Azerbaijan and the EU: dialogue between civilizations", organized by the Azerbaijan-Belgium Friendship Society, under the auspices of German MEP Ismail Ertug and with the support of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Belgium, Trend reports, with reference to the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Belgium.
Speakers at the conference included deputy chairman of State Committee for Work with Religious Associations Gunduz Ismailov, head of the Intangible Heritage department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Yashar Huseynli, a representative of the Caucasian Muslims Office Ziad Akhmedov, a representative of the Baku and Caspian diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church Father Methodius, deputy head of the religious community of Mountain Jews in Azerbaijan Semen Shalmeev, deputy head of the Baku branch of the religious community of European Jews in Azerbaijan Eugene Breneysen and head of the Albanian-Udi Christian Community of Azerbaijan Robert Mobili.
