Iranian cargo plane forced to land in Turkey

 

An Iranian cargo plane flying to Syria was forced to land for an inspection at Diyarbakır airport in southeastern Turkey, Hurriyet reports.

The plane landed on Saturday night on the orders of the Turkish authorities. Military fighter planes were on standby in case the plane refused to comply. An inspection of the plane is ongoing to check whether the aircraft has any illicit or military material on board.
