NATO PA president arrives in Georgia

The president of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, Carl Lamers, has arrived in Georgia on a two-day visit, Trend reports.


Lamers noted at Tiblisi airport that this is not his first visit to the country. He arrived to assess and review the political and economic situation in Georgia. Lamers will meet Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, Prime Minister Nika Gilauri, Speaker David Bakradze and Minister for European Integration Giorgi Baramidze.


The NATO official underlined that his delegation is ready to talk about any issues.


The delegation will hold its first meeting with the Secretary of the Georgian Security Council Georgy Bokeria.


The visit will conclude on March 23. The delegation will take part in the 76th NATO Rose-Ros seminar.
