Syrian special forces stormed a mosque held by protesters in the southern town of Derea. Six people were killed, Reuter reports.
Last Sunday Darea saw a protest against the shooting of peaceful demonstration on Friday, when five people were killed. The demonstrators urged the government to provide political reforms and an effective fight against corruption.
Some of the demonstrators stayed in the mosque of Darea for several days to continue their protest.
The Syrian authorities have yet to comment.
