OSCE MG marks 19th anniversary

The OSCE Minsk Group, established on March 24, 1992, to support the peaceful process of settling the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, is marking its 19th anniversary today.

The OSCE MG consists of three co-chairs: Robert Bradtke (USA), Bernard Fassier (France) and Igor Popov (Russia).

The OSCE chairman is represented in the process by his personal representative Andrzej Kasprzyk. His office also monitors the cease-fire regime.

However, the organization has not achieved any significant success in settling Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in 19 years.

The OSCE MG was to present the report of its evaluation mission in Vienna on Wednesday. The evaluation mission operated in seven occupied districts of Azerbaijan on October 7-13, 2010. International mediators presented the report to presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia within the framework of their visit to the region on March 15-17. The document has not been presented to publicity yet.
