Victims of clashes in the Syrian town of Deraa rose to 43 people, Presidential adviser on information Buseyna Shaaban announced, RIA Novosti reported.
Human rights activists claimed that the number of victims was about 100.
Anti-government demonstrations began in Syria on March 15. Opponents of the current regime organized several small protests in Damascus with the help of the Facebook page "Syrian revolution against Bashar al-Assad's 2011". Then anti-government demonstrations erupted in the south, in particular in the town of Deraa on the border with Jordan.
