Heavy wind has partly blow the roof off of the Stavropol Communication Technical School at approximately 08.00 (Moscow time), RIA Novosti cites a spokesman of the local road police.
The source clarified that some 100 square meters of roof were blown off. It fell on the crossing of Serov and Chernyakhovsky Streets. Traffic was blocked.
Power lines were also cut. Trolley buses stopped.
The spokesman said that no one was injured.
A spokesman for the Stavropol hydro-meteorological center said that wind speeds reached 25 meters per second, which could increase to 27 meters per second. Wind is considered dangerous when it reaches a speed of 30 meters per second
