Abkhaz President Sergey Bagapsh and head of Bashkiria Rustem Khamitov have agreed to sign a cooperation deal in Moscow, Apsnypress reports.
The deal will allow cities and districts of Bashkiria and Abkhazia to improve development of cultural and economic ties. Abkhazia is interested in tourists from Bashkiria.
The Mayor of Ufa, Pavel Kachkayev, was at the meeting. He said that Ufa and Sukhumi considered signing such an agreement last year. However, they failed to sign it.
Khamitov and Bagapsh agreed to hold a Days of Abkhazia event in Bashkortostan in September this year.
