Iranian lawmaker condemns UN resolution over Iran

An Iranian lawmaker has denounced the recent UN resolution against human rights situation in Iran, saying the "so-called defenders of human rights" are “in the front line” of anti-democracy moves, Press TV reports.


The UN Human Rights Council on Thursday narrowly approved proposal for appointing a special rapporteur to investigate allegations of human rights violations in Iran.

The Islamic Republic denounced the move as politically motivated.
