Azerbaijan will be monitoring explosions caused by Armenian forces in the occupied districts, Trend cites Gurban Etirmishli, director of the Azerbaijani Center of Seismology Survey, as saying.
The official said that they plan to establish a set of stations near the occupied territories to monitor the blasts. A contract was signed with the US company Kinemetrik. Digital seismology stations will be built at Agdam, Beylagan and Fizuli Districts, as well as stations with satellite communication.
Armenian forces are systematically training and making blasts.
Azerbaijan will have a total of 35 seismology land stations in 2011. Five will be built on land and three in the Caspian Sea.
Etirmishli said that the seismology stations produced by Japanese specialists and the US company Kinemetrik are one of the world’s most reliable and have unique software for studies.
