 Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak to become responsible for national policy

Russian Vice-Premier Dmitry Kozak will be in charge of the state national policy, and will work to improve the institutional and legal framework of national relations, a government statement sad on Monday.

Kozak will retain all his previous functions: preparations for the Winter Olympics in Sochi in 2014, public policy issues in the field of architecture, construction, housing and utilities.

He will also remain responsible for the public policy in the sphere of socio-economic development, development of the federal target programs in the field of regional development, implementation of measures aimed at reducing disparities in the socio-economic development, establishment and operation of free economic zones and provision of state support by the Investment Fund of Russia.

President Dmitry Medvedev and Prime Minister Vladimir Putin have earlier suggested to cultivate "the All-Russian patriotism” and the formation of self-identification of the Russians on the macro level of the “Russian nation”, Vzglyad recalls.
