Government of Syria resigns

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has accepted the resignation of the government, Trend reports, with reference to the broadcaster Al Jazeera.
The decision was taken by the authorities after a popular uprising in the country. It is expected that the new cabinet will be formed over the next day.
Yesterday, Syrian Vice President Farouk Shara said that in the next two days President Bashar Assad will announce "significant decisions" taken by the government under pressure of mass protests, RIA Novosti reports.
