New ministers of defense and national security minister appointed in Turkmenistan

Turkmenistan has seen a reshuffle in the leadership of the security services, including the defense ministry, the national security ministry and prosecutor's office, Trend reports.Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov approved some appointments at a session of the National Security Council.
Begench Gundogdyev was appointed minister of defense. Previously he was the first deputy defense minister. The former minister Yajlym Berdyev was appointed minister for national security and the secretary of the Security Council.The former national security minister Charymyrat Amanov was dismissed dueto the unsatisfactory work of the ministry.The military doctrine of Turkmenistan is of a defensive character and correlates with the status of permanent neutrality.
