Iran has hosted a meeting of the Kyrgyz Minister of Culture and Information Nurlanbek Shakiyev, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Orientation Seyed Mohammad Khoseini within the framework of an international forum on Nowruz, AKIpress reports.
The Kyrgyz Ministry of Culture said that the sides discussed bilateral cooperation in culture and art. There are plans to hold the Days of Iranian Culture in Kyrgyzstan and Days of Kyrgyz Culture in Iran, the Iranian president said.
Shakiyev thanked the president for a warm welcome and said that Kyrgyzstan will support any initiatives aimed at developing humanitarian and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
