Dagestani members of parliament have re-elected Magomed-Sultan Magomedov as their speaker on Thursday, RIA Novosti reports.
Magomedov was heading the parliament until the elections on March 12. The United Russia Party approved his candidature.
82 out of 84 members voted for Magomedov.
84.84% of the population took part in the elections on March 13. United Russia Party received 65.21% votes, Fair Russia – 13.68%, Patriots of Russia – 8.39%, Communist Party – 7.27%, Right Cause – 5.09%, Liberal Democratic Party – 0.05%.
