Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev received 95.5% of the vote in the presidential election on Sunday, the CEC said on Monday, RIA Novosti reports.
Zhambyl Ahmatbekov received 1.4%, Mels Yeliusizov – 1.2%, Gani Kasymov – 1.9%, head of the CEC Kuandyk Turgankulov said in Astana.
The official said that final results will be announced by April 12.
Nazarbayev has been in power for over 20 years. He said in January 2011 that he will stay in office for as long as people want him to.
