The prospect of relations between Iran and Egypt is clear and positive, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said, Trend reports.
Earlier, the current Egyptian Foreign Minister said that if Iran renames Khalid Istanbuli Avenue, named after the killer of the former Egyptian President Anwar Sadat, it would be possible for the countries to initiate negotiations on restoration of diplomatic relations.
The diplomatic ties between the two countries were cut in 1979.
