Vote of censure in South Ossetia's parliament called off

A motion of no-confidence in the government headed by Premier Vladimir Brovcev has been called off,  reports RIA Novosti, citing a source in the South Ossetian Cabinet.

"The vote of censure was called off, but the establishment of an investigation commission into the government's expenditures in 2009-2010 was submitted to a vote," the source said.

The South Ossetian parliamentarians suspect the government of the inappropriate expenditure of the budget. Moreover, the plan for the 2010 budget, as well as the program of social and economic development, has not been introduced to the parliament yet.

Borovtsev denies all charges of inappropriate expenditures. He has pointed out that the Finance Ministry mkes monthly reports on the expenditures of finances allocated for South Ossetia by Russia. He also said reconstruction work is being executed under the strict control of the Ministry for Regional Development, and four inspections by the Russian Accounts Chamber did not show violations.
