The Central Electoral Committee of Kazakhstan registered Nursultan Nazarbayev as the elected president of the country.
Yesterday the Central Electoral Committee officially announced Nazarbayev’s win in the early presidential elections, which were held on April 3. According to the results Nazarbayev got 95.5% of the vote.
International observers have different points of view on the results of the elections. The CIS experts stated the elections were democratic, the OSCE said the elections had some drawbacks and the Parliamentary Assembly of the European Council admitted the elections reflected the will of the people.
