The strength of any country or society is in its national or religious diversity, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said at the opening of the World Inter-Culture Dialogue Forum, ITAR-TASS reports.
Aliyev expressed confidence that national and religious tolerance in Azerbaijan will always be at a high level. The president said that the forum will give new opportunities for inter-culture and inter-civilization dialogue and will become a tradition.
The forum is held in Baku, initiated by Azerbaijan and supported by UNESCO, ISESCO, Civilization Alliance of UN and the Council of Europe. It will hold talks on concept, management, political and practical aspects of the inter-culture dialogue.
