Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev was re-elected on April 3. He has assumed office after taking the oath, RIA Novosti reports.
Nazarbayev received 95.5% of vote. He was inaugurated at the Independence Palace, with presence of foreign ambassadors accredited in Kazakhstan. The guards brought the state symbols, the Constitution and the State Flag of Kazakhstan.
Prime Minister Karim Masimov and his Cabinet will resign, according to the law.
