Turkish foreign minister visits Syria and Qatar

Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmet Davutoglu has visited Syria and Qatar, TRT reports.


Davutoglu had had a meeting with the Libyan opposition, followed by a visit to Syria where met President Bashar Assad,

Minister of Foreign Affairs Valid Muallim and Hamas leader Khaled Mashal. Davutoglu made a speech about his contacts in Qatar and Syria at the Turkish embassy in Syria.


Davutoglu said that he had fruitful talks with President Bashar Assad. The Turkish minister discussed peace in Palestine with the head of Hamas. He expressed hope for a consensus between the two states.


The Turkish minister said that he exchanged views with the Libyan opposition spokesman Mahmoud Jabril.
