The parliamentary elections in Kazakhstan will be held in 2012, according to the Constitution, the president of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, told lawmakers, RIA Novosti reports.
Presidential Adviser for Political Affairs Yermukhamet Yertysbayev earlier said that after the presidential elections, Nazarbayev could dissolve parliament to speed up political reform in the country.
Nazarbayev was re-elected as president of Kazakhstan on April 3 as a result of early presidential elections.
