One woman was killed and another wounded in Nazran on Wednesday during the arrest of Magomed Gardanov, RIA Novosti reports, citing a
spokesman for the FSB division in Ingushetia.
A 28 year-old woman was hospitalized with a bullet wound to the chest
and later died. The second woman, Maki Bogatiriova, a surgery nurse in
the IRKB, was wounded in the leg and in the arm. A 14 year-old boy was
also wounded, after which he received medical help and went home,
ITAR-TASS reports.
The special operation was carried out at 17.00 Moscow time in the
Zavodskoy neighbourhood in a residential sector of central Nazran,
resulting in the death of underground resistance leader Magomed
Gardanov. He was involved in terrorist attacks on the Department of
Internal Affairs in Karabulak and Nazran and attacks on
cash-in-transit guards in April this year, when a driver was killed.
