Russia doesn’t want to play unique role in the Central Asian region, but other international states should consider its strategic interests. This statement was expressed by the deputy foreign minister of Russia Grigory Karasin during Parliamentary proceeding in the State Duma The Central Asian region: strategic partnership and security, RBС reports.
The Central Asian republics are interesting not only for Russia, but also for the USA, China, the EU, Turkey, Iran, India and other. Karasin stressed importance of further cooperation of Russia with other states of the region within the framework of international organizations.
