Co-chairs of OSCE MG meet family of Azerbaijani child killed by Armenians

The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group have received materials on the murder of nine-year old Fariz Badalov by an Armenian sniper at the village of Orta Garvend in the Agdam District, the head of the investigation control department of the Prosecutor General’s Office, Nazim Abbasov, is reported as saying by 1news.az.


A criminal case was initiated of intentional murder.


The co-chairs of the OSCE MG have met the child’s family and had talks with Nizami Sadygov, head of the executive authorities of Agdam District.


Bernard Fassier, the French co-chair, said that he was shocked by the incident.


After a press conference, the co-chairs of the OSCE MG visited Terter, Agdam and Bardy Districts. They left Bardy and headed to Baku.


Fariz Badalov was killed on March 8, 2011, as a result of a violation of the cease-fire regime by Armenian forces.


The prosecutor of Agdam District, Islam Gasymov, said on Tuesday that Badalov was shot in the head at approximately 17.00-18.00. The shot was taken in the village of Shykhlar.
