Turkish premier comments on PACE criticism

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has made a speech at the PACE session and commented on its criticism of Turkey, TRT reports.

Erdogan said that PACE had the wrong image on minorities. He pointed out that France "expels gypsies“.

The prime minister also said that Turkey will not allow Armenia to violate the rights of their brother-nation Azerbaijan.

Erdogan met some 5,000 Turks from France and neighbouring states in Strasbourg. He recommended them to study French and receive citizenship.

The Turkish premier expressed criticism of the policy against Libya. He said that Turkey does not seek to forward its interests in North Africa.
