Reconstruction of the crossing point on the Russian-Abkhaz border has begun in Sochi on April 15, press-service of the border office on the Black Sea-Azov, Yuga.ru reports.
The crossing point was closed at 20.00 over River Psou. Additional 28 passport control workplaces were opened.
A separate bridge was opened for crossing the border on foot in 2003. Crossing of the Adler point has increased from 1.8 million to 7 million in the last seven years. Reconstruction of the crossing point will take several months.
