The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (CCASG) has concluded work in Er-Riyad, urging the UN Security Council to stop Iran from interfering in their internal affairs, Trend reports.
The CCASG consists of Bahrain, Qatar, the UAE, Oman and Saudi Arabia. After the start of disorders in Bahrain, where Shiites (75% of the population) demanded extension of their rights and freedoms, Saudi Arabia sent some 1,000 troops to the country. The UAE sent Sunni police officers. Iran is a Shiite state and reacted to the situation.
