Preparations for Mashuk 2011 start in North Caucasus

The Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the North Caucasus Federal District Alexander Khloponin held a meeting on preparations for the North Caucasus Youth Forum "Mashuk-2011” on April 18, RIA Dagestan reports.

The event was approved by the Organizing Committee with Khloponin a chairman. Other members of the committee were the governor of Stavropol Territory Valery Gajewski (Vice-Chairman of the Organizing Committee), the deputy presidential envoy Yuri Oleinik (Vice-Chairman of the Organizing Committee), chairman of the Stavropol Territory on Youth Affairs Olga Kazakova ( Secretary of the Organizing Committee), Head of Federal Agency on Youth Affairs Vasily Yakimenko, Deputy Minister of Sport, Tourism and Youth Policy of the Russian Federation Oleg Rozhnov.

Khloponin in his speech recalled that the idea of organizing a youth platform at the foot of Mashuk belongs to Russian President Dmitry Medvedev. A youth camp was was held here in 2010 for the first time.

The event is scheduled from 3 to 19 July 2011 in two shifts.
