The Parliament of Georgia today annulled the treaty with Russia on the transit of military equipment and personnel through Georgia to the Russian military base in Armenia after the its expiration. This resolution was adopted unanimously by the Parliament of Georgia, reports Trend.
Introducing the issue at the meeting of the Parliament, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Nino Kalandadze said the reason for the annulation of the contract, apart from its expiration, is "political reasonability " of this decision connected to "the aggression exerted by Russia” and the whole course of events after the war in August 2008.
