Press-secretary of Russian Federal Migration Service fired for remarks on "threat to white race"

The press-secretary of the Russian Federal Migration Service, Constantin Poltoranin, has been fired for talking about threats to the white race in an interview, ITAR-TASS cites the organisation as saying.

Gazeta.ru quoted Poltoranin’s interview with the BBC. Poltoranin said that survival of the white race in Russia is under threat. The TV interview was made on April 20, the 122nd birthday of Adolf Hitler.

Poltoranin clarified that he does not approve of the policy of Western Europe, where immigration from Africa and the Middle East is promoted. The situation in Russia will be different, he believes.

The press-secretary said that migrants view Russia as a transit zone on the way to the EU and do not plan to integrate into Russian society.
