Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili today opened a new radar system in Poti, Trend reports.
The system was assembled by the French company Teles. The opening ceremony was attended by the French delegation, including the Minister of Transport, Thierry Marin.The new French radar system catches signals within a radius of 400 kilometers.
According to Saakashvili, the new radar system will allow not only better control over airspace, but also ensure the work of a new international airport of Poti.
