A police college and a Training Center have been established at the Armenian Police Academy, Deputy Police Chief Artur Osikyan said, News Armenia reports.
The official said that the country needs high-skilled staff. New criteria were developed in 2010. The former training facilities only prepared legal specialists.
The two new structures at the Police Academy will train medium-rank staff. The Training Center will require 6 months of studies, the college - 2 years.
Osikyan said that tests are being developed for those willing to undergo training. Computers will give impartial test results.
Students will enter the police structures in autumn.
