Belarus has ratified an inter-governmental agreement on investments with Azerbaijan today, Day.az reports.
Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Igor Petrishenko presented the bill, saying that Azerbaijan is of great interest to Belarus. The document will benefit mutual investment.
The deputy minister said that the investment sum is equivalent to about $1.5 million. $280,000 of the sum are charter capitals of joint stock companies and about $1.245 million are investments in the form of loans.
Petrishenko expressed hope that the two states will improve investment activities. A good example is the joint stock enterprise in Azerbaijan, which produced 2,000 tractors and 1,000 MAZ trucks.
Azerbaijan ratified the document earlier.
