Azerbaijan passes TURKPA chairmanship to Kazakhstan

Azerbaijan has passed the chairmanship of TURKPA (Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking Countries) to Kazakhstan, Trend reports.


The process was opened by the Chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament, Oktay Asadov, and continued by the Chairman of the Kazakh Parliament, Ural Muhamedzhanov.


TURKPA will hold a session in the Palace of Peace and Consent in Astana on April 28. Parliamentary speakers of the organization signed a protocol on amendments to the Istanbul agreement on TURKPA.


A protocol on cooperation between the parliamentary libraries of TURKPA members was signed.
